Real Estate and Personal Property Tax Board of Review

To all owners of real estate and personal property in the City of Bessemer, Gogebic County, Michigan

Notice is hereby given that the Board of Review for the City of Bessemer will hold an organizational meeting on Monday, March 7, 2011, in the Council Chambers, City Hall, City of Bessemer, at 6:00 p.m. immediately preceding the regular Council Meeting, for the purpose of reviewing the Assessment Roll for 2011.

Property owners who feel himself/herself unjustly assessed may appear before the Board of Review beginning Wednesday, March 9, 2011, between the hours of 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. and make a complaint against the assessment and be heard thereon. The March Board of Review will meet in the Council Chambers of the Bessemer City Hall, 411 S. Sophie Street, Bessemer, MI.

The City of Bessemer Board of Review will remain in session for at least three (3) days successively during the above stated hours.

Special Notice: Notices of increase in assessments and/or taxable values will only be mailed to property owners who have incurred an increase for the 2011 tax year. Notices will not be sent to property owners who have not incurred an increase. The pre-board of review tax roll will be available in the Clerk's office at the Bessemer City Hall, 411 S. Sophie Street, Bessemer, Michigan, after March 7, 2011.
