Bessemer Zoning Board of Appeals
Notice is hereby given that a Public Hearing will be held by the Bessemer Zoning Board of Appeals on Monday, July 6th, beginning at 6:00 P.M., 411 S. Sophie St., Bessemer, MI. The meeting will be held remotely.
The purpose of the hearing is to hear comment on a non-use variance to Section 5.7 General Sign Regulations, 2) Permitted Signs in C-1 and C-2 Districts, b) A ground sign may not exceed a height of fifteen (15) feet above the uniform finished grade. The entity under a purchase agreement, Kwik Trip at (608) 791-7448, are looking for a non-use variance to have a sign that is 25’ high and matches the existing Stemphier sign heights. No hearsay or individual surveys will be accepted as testimony; only written or oral presentation will be acknowledged. Written comments can be submitted to the City of Bessemer, 411 S Sophie, Bessemer, MI 49911, prior to the scheduled Public Hearing. Pertinent information is on file and available for public inspection in the Clerks office at City Hall during normal business hours.
