Live Streaming City Council Meetings

The City of Bessemer is committed to providing a more open government. We are experimenting with live streaming our City Council Meetings onto our facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/bessemermich).

They are filmed directly to facebook and you can watch them in real time. Please bear with us if any technical difficulties happen during this new endeavor.  We will also be hosting, when possible, the archived versions of the video streams by visiting the meeting archives on our website here.

New Bicycle Racks in Bessemer

Thanks to AARP for the generous support that made this project possible to help make this community a great place for all ages. We worked with local artist, Doug Kikkebusch to design and create 12 bicycle racks in a Frank Lloyd Wright style. These bicycle racks will be scattered around town come spring time to further encourage artistry and bicycling. Be sure to check them out this spring by stopping downtown and at our locally owned stores!
